In December 2019, extreme acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which causes coronavirus disease (COVID-19), was first detected In Wuhan City, China and later spread to several provinces in China and simultaneously outspreaded worldwide. The COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to a dramatic worldwide loss of human life and poses an unparalleled threat to public health, food systems and the world of work. The economic and social suffering inflicted by the pandemic is devastating millions of people are at risk of severe poverty specially in the developing country. We have several researches, review article, case study and medical journal for the explanation COVID-19. There are so many guideline recommendations issues by the WHO, various health authority and government for the prevention of COVID-19. How Electrohomoeopathy medicine used by various Electrohomoeopathy practitioners in there clinical as a prophylactic and preventive care but result was ultimate. Although, there were the collaborative appeached played an important role for fighting against virus where Ayuesh medicine and Electrohomoeopathy medicine worked in effective manner during this pandemic. Scientists all over the world, especially in India, are trying to find alternative medicines with minimal side effects. The main purpose of this research is to bring alternative medicines to the general public for the treatment of COVID-19. In this article, we are going to discuss how alternative system of medicine specially Electrohomoeopathy played a crucial role for the prevention and protection against the Corona virus. Total 56 patient included in this study who received Electrohomoeopathy medicine and concluded result.
Objective: To analyze the clinical efficacy and prophylactic property of Electrohomeopathy medicine during the initial phase of COVID-19 with combination of conventional approach.
COVID-19 is an enveloped virus, pleomorphic or spherical particles of size 150 to 160 nm with positive single-stranded RNA. The important viral protein is nucleoplasmid (N). It is phylogenetically related to SARS-Cov and produces common cold-like symptoms. It is a spiracle structure with bulbous surface product projection. It resembles the radiating sun in morphology hence called Corona and produces common cold like symptoms. The organs which are at high risk of viral invasion are alveolar cells, esophagus, heart and urinary bladder. Patients with COVID -19 are at risk of kidney damage and bladder damage. The viral RNA was detected in urine samples of recovered patients [1]. The higher incidence of COVID-19 is in patients with hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and immunocompromised patients [2]. Various challenges was observed for development of effective treatment against the COVID-19. Sceintst community always keep a closes eye on the mutation of virus. The virus has the potential to adapt to new hosts and conditions, and this ability relies heavily on their ability to produce diversity in a short period of time. Among different viruses, rates of spontaneous mutation vary. Single stranded viruses and RNA viruses mutate faster than DNA viruses and double stranded viruses. The rate of viral mutation depends on various factors, such as the activity of polymerase, cellular microenvironment, mechanism of replication, and many other factors. In addition, several viral mutations are due to elements producing virus-encoded diversity and due to cytidine/adenosine deaminases encoded by the host [3]. Due to the numerous challenges posed by Covid-19, the Indian healthcare system has been under constant pressure at the moment. Government, health care practitioners and pharmaceutical firms are making tremendous efforts to eradicate this disease worldwide. Currently, we have vaccine candidates for the COVID-19, while scientific world is making continuous efforts to perform clinical trials on large population for this new candidate vaccines.
Presently, many medications are used to combat the disease all over the world. In India we several alternative system and therapy used by medical practitioners along with the modern system of medicine.
Ayurveda is a traditional medical practice that has a very long history in India. It primarily uses plants and herbs that in India are abundantly available. Via changes in lifestyle intervention, Ayurveda manages disease. In order to improve innate immunity, it is normal and conventional health care therapy. The way to cure a disease, according to Ayurveda, is by strengthening the body?s defensive strength by natural means. It is an epigenetic factor affecting the regulation of gene activity [4]. There are various remedies in Ayurveda which is very much effective and use for the treatment, prevention of coronavirus like kabasura kudineer (herbal preparation that has more than 15 herbs), Andrographis paniculate, other plants like Sambucus ebulus have been known to inhibit the activity of enveloped viruses and can also be used to fight against novel coronavirus [5].
The word siddha implies flawlessness. It underlines the treatment to give balance between body, brain and soul. Siddha medication recommends the utilization of nilavembu kudineer for the treatment of novel Covid. Atomic docking of it gave results that the bioactive segment in the nilavembu kudineer can hinder the ACE-2 catalyst receptor and forestall the section of the infection into the human body and accordingly forestall the pathogenesis of COVID-19. To demonstrate the wellbeing and viability of this conventional medication invert the pharmacology strategy is internationally utilized. It affirmed the security and adequacy of this customary medication which is as of now there in clinical practice [6].
It emphasizes that the body has the ability to cure itself. It uses natural substances like plant minerals to stimulate the healing process. It is used to cure long term illness, asthma, minor injuries, cut, scrape muscle strains or sprains and pneumonia [7]. In Homeopathy Arsenicum album is recommended to use against CoVID-19. This is traditionally used against flu, influenza and pneumonia. It can be used as a prophylactic medicine for COVID-19. Many natural oils have antiviral and antibacterial activity that can be used for prophylaxis of COVID-19 [8].
Electrohomeopathy is a drug system that is used to treat a range of diseases and ailments. The concept of electro-homeopathy is that more than one of the organs involved or affected by the condition occurs when disease occurs in the body, because the entire body is interconnected and very complex as well. So Electrohomeopathy act effectively in chronic as well as acute disuses and used bypetitioners as a prophylactic against the COVID-19.
This prophylactic study was conduct across India by various Electrohomeopathy practitioners while data was available for specific cases. The case study period included in this article from year 2020, data included from the Indian states like Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab and Delhi. The cases were closely obverse by Electrohomeopathy practitioners. In this specific study prevention care given to thousands of the people across the India. Total 56 patients include in this article in which approximately 25* patients with symptoms of covid-19 from the Rajasthan, 16* patients from Maharashtra, 11 patients from Punjab and 2 patients from the Delhi. Age group included adult and elderly, gender both male and female included in this study. There are 20 conformed and 5 suspected case included from Rajasthan, 7 confirmed and 9 suspected patients from Maharashtra, 11 suspected patients from Punjab and 2 patients from Delhi. All the patients was fully symptomatic while COVID-19 test not done or found negative for few patients.
Inclusive criteria: Sever symptomatic patients not included in this study who require intervention of higher institution as per government, regulatory authority and WHO guideline.
All the patient received controlled prophylactic treatment depend in the severity, symptoms, age group, body weight and clinical condition. Duration of the therapy included 3 days to 15 days depend on the severity. Below is the prophylactic therapy given to the all 39 patients on the various Electrohomoeopathy practitioners. Electrohomeopathy is a new system of medicine still fighting for recognition. With the limited resources practitioners giving excellent result in most of the disease. Long term study is required with larger sample size for the development reliable therapy against the virus. More research should be done on healing, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory properties of these medicines. Further research is needed and effective study on other herbal plants is also needed under controlled condition. To find out the efficacy of the Electrohomeopathy medicine clinical trials should be done in an increased number. Other physiological and biochemical effects Electrohomeopathy medicine should be evaluated. There is limitation of biochemistry and scanning which need to be increased.
As of now numerous medications are recommended by various nations to control CoVID-19. As we are living in the country with rich legacy and important restorative vegetation, old therapeutic framework, we should utilize them adequately to fix the infection with no synthetic compounds. Since the specific drug for COVID - 19 isn?t yet decided, it is savvy to consider common and treatment including insignificant results. A large number of the normal prescriptions can be utilized as prophylactic drugs for COVID - 19. All the medications that are suggested for the treatment of COVID-19 have some poisonous impact on patients. Elective prescriptions, for example, siddha, Ayurveda, homeopathy and Electrohomeopathy were not found to have poisonous impacts and can be utilized rather than allopathic medication to forestall load in the liver which is cost effective and harmless. Electrohomeopathy is totally plants-based system of medicine people of the world specially India looking strong alternative of conventional system which are leading to serious consequence of the health. Government, regulatory authority and WHO should encourage alternative system of medicine specially Electrohomeopathy which is struggling for consideration even though pathy having excellent result against acute and chronic diseases.
